Welcome!

We are Alabama's Olympics! There is something for everyone no matter what your age or skill level. The 2010 Opening Ceremonies on June 18th were exciting and the 24 sports action continued throughout the weekend all over the Birmingham Metro area.

2010 Wee Can Fight Obesity Competition

Wee Champions!

On Friday June 18, 2010 our Wee Competitors faced off in the Wee Can Fight Obesity Competition. The competition was held in the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. Leading up to the event students have been exercising in their physical education classes using the Nintendo Wii Fit system. The Wee Can Fight Obesity Program is a pilot program in schools begun by the Alabama Sports Festival, the Governors Commission on Physical Fitness, and the Alabama State University. The competition was intense and we all had a great experience!

The guys at WJOX Opening Drive were gracious enough to host ASF staff members, Chris Wilkins and Seth Bryan, on their morning radio show to promote registration for this years 24 sport line-up.
