To all the tournament directors, commissioners, coaches, parents, officials and hundreds of volunteers, we say thank you for a job well done! The Alabama Sports Festival honored all Alabama firefighters and emergency medical personnel at the 2009 Opening Ceremonies. Honorees received a specially minted Medal of Service recognizing their service. Families of firefighters and emergency medical personnel killed in the line of duty received the Medal of Sacrifice to honor their family member.
