The 2009 Alabama Sports Festival State Games were a huge success and it would have never been possible without the help of hundreds of volunteers. To all the tournament directors, commissioners, coaches, parents, officials and hundreds of volunteers, we say thank you for a job well done! And to all the athletes who competed, congratulations on your great accomplishments and keep on 'Going For Gold!'

Honoring Our Heroes - Firefighters & EMS Personnel

Thank You For All You Do...

The Alabama Sports Festival honored all Alabama firefighters and emergency medical personnel at the 2009 Opening Ceremonies. Honorees received a specially minted Medal of Service recognizing their service. Families of firefighters and emergency medical personnel killed in the line of duty received the Medal of Sacrifice to honor their family member.

This is a continuation of the Honoring Our Heroes program which has honored military veterans, law enforcement officers and others throughout the years. Registration information and details for the 2009 Honoring Our Heroes ceremony are here.
