Alabama Students Against Tobacco Ambassador Program
What is Alabama Students Against Tobacco?
The Alabama Students Against Tobacco (ASAT) program is part of the Alabama Sports Festival's ongoing efforts to help Alabama youth excel in fitness, academics and good citizenship. ASAT enlists the assistance of student-ambassadors to speak out against the use of tobacco products. Duties of the ambassadors include: recording public service announcements, endorsing letters to the editor of their area newspapers, attending advocacy training and speaking against tobacco use at various functions.

The Alabama Sports Festival (ASF) is proud to sponsor the Alabama Students Against Tobacco (ASAT) Ambassador Program. Students (grades 10-12) from across the state participate in the Ambassador Program.
Ambassadors work to encourage their peers to avoid tobacco products. To do this, Ambassadors are not only asked to be positive role models for the students in their community, but also to record public service announcements speaking out against tobacco use. Ambassadors may also be called upon to represent the Program at various public functions or to appear on television or radio talk shows.
If you would like more information on how to become involved in the Alabama Students Against Tobacco Ambassador Program, call Marc T. Riker at (334) 280-0065.
